VANTAS HORNS
These are worked in the round so get a stitch marker ready (I use a bobby pin)
Since the horns are all nubby and cute we’re going to start with the YELLOW part.
Row 1: ch 1, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 st)
Row 2: 2 sc in each st around (12 st)
Row 3: sc in each st around (12 st)
Row 4: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st, repeat from * (18 st)
Row 5: sc in each st around (18 st)
Row 6: *2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 2 st, repeat from * (24 st)
Row 7: sc in each st around (24 st)
ATTACH ORANGE
Row 8-10: sc in each st around (24 st)
SWITCH TO RED
Row 11-12: sc in each st around (24 st)
Row 13: *skip 1st st, 2 sc, repeat from * (16 st)
Stuff firmly and sew onto hat in the least triggering manner possible
Symbol: make 2 parts, or 4 if you want one symbol for each earflap
With grey (or red, for Kankri) chain 12, join with sl st to form a ring, chain 8 (be sure to leave long tails for sewing)
